How Troldtekt® contributes to DGNB-certified buildings

Troldtekt scores positively in five of the six overall qualities in a DGNB certification. The acoustic panels can also help secure bonus points for the circular economy.

Troldtekt® can contribute to criteria that make up approximately 50 per cent of the points

The DGNB manuals from 2020 include 36 criteria divided into six overall qualities. The table below shows that Troldtekt can contribute to the points in 13 criteria, which are divided into five qualities. The percentage shows the weight of each criterion in the overall assessment.

The table is based on the DGNB 2020 manual for new buildings and major renovations version 1.1.2.

Note that Troldtekt cannot fulfil all of the criterion's points, but that the acoustic panels have a positive impact on the overall criterion score. Troldtekt’s contribution will be project-specific.

About DGNB

DGNB is a German certification for buildings that was launched in 2008.

In Denmark, an industry committee working under the auspices of the Danish Council for Sustainable Building has chosen German DGNB as the voluntary building certification adapted to Danish conditions. The first Danish version of DGNB was released in 2012 and has since been updated in manuals tailored to Danish building regulations.

DGNB is also referred to as a second-generation system because the system was developed and adapted later than BREEAM and LEED, for example, and therefore builds on prior experience from the other schemes. DGNB is very comprehensive in its analysis of buildings and covers a wide range of environmental, social conditions and economic aspects.

Hirschsprung Hus

The former tobacco factory in Hirschsprung Hus has been renovated several times. The building has now undergone a process which saw the removal of all the fixtures and fittings, after which it was elegantly fitted out while showing great respect for both the building and the environment.
